Luckiest of all

I can consider myself one of the luckiest people on earth now. I had one of the most awesome b-days ever.

I wonderful friend went out of her way to make this possible. MissI, my "pen friend" of almost 3 years celebrated with me. She and I have never met IRL before. We have chatted almost everyday and talked on the phone a bunch of times and yesterday was the day we finally met.

She traveled more than an hour away to meet me! She brought me a gorgeous card, a fabulous gift and a CAKE. She is always so thoughtful and caring. But yesterday she put the cherry on top.

Today was my first day of work at "WONDERLAND" aka Archiver's ....lol
OMGosh it looks even more awesome when you work there.!!

Today it was about paperwork and video training. The videos are interesting and short enough that they capture your attention and you don't fall asleep....lol
The ladies I met today were very nice and very friendly. I'm going to get an Archivers apron.....neeener neener LOL and more training in the following 2-3 weeks.
I'm allowed to "play" with all the toys so I can familiarize myself with the products and be of better help. I am so pumped!!

I didn't make it to the final round :0(

But nevertheless I like my card a lot specially for what or who inspired me to make this card.

One of my very good friends send me an e-mail with a link to an article about one of her precious daughters, "Sophia". Sophia is a wonderful and special little girl in more than one way. You can read about her in here

Round 2

I am so so excited. I was chosen to be a semifinalist on the CAS DT search....woohoooo

This is my second time participating in the CAS DT search. Last time I was given a guest designner spot for the summer. Which was so awesome and an honor.

I'm trying again for a fix spot that last about 3 months.....here is hoping. But a guest spot will be just as cool.

The second round is about "fashion". We need to use designer paper to make our card and it doesn't need to have a fashion theme per se...... :0)

The search begins

The search for the fall CAS DT had begun.And I am once moretrying for a permanent DT spot (which is seasonal) or a guest designer spot again which would be just as awesome.
The theme in this first round is "Teacher's Pet" and it requires us to us at least one punch and of course keep it CAS. The interpretetion is been left open to our imagination and THE FUN BEGINS!!

Neglect

As often is the case my poor blog gets very neglected under "normal" circumstances. But during the summer it seems that things just get worse. With all the stuff going around (reading time at the library, tennis, swimming, playdates, etc) there is hardly anytime left for hanging around the puter.

I have been stamping here and there. Nothing much as is the case of almost all of my card [sad LOL ;0) ]

For the semi-final round of the Clean and Simple (CAS) desing team casting call I made a couple other cards. One had to have a moveable part (card 1) and the other one had to include pop-up dots to add dimension (card 2)

This year I'm not going to be too late for sending one of my dear friends her b-day card. I said not too late cuz last year it took me a little over 5 months to send it to her. In my defense we were in the process of buying a house, remodeling such and moving in less than 3 months..... jst reliving it made me exausted LOL

This crad will be just a week late which is like "a miracle" teehee. She is not a pink kind of gal bit I dn't think she is going to cringe at this mauve colored CS *crossed fingers*

My baby #2 had his preschool graduation ceremony today. We all pooled to get the teachers a class present.

One of the moms saw this custom made planters (very cool) and shared the idea with the rest of the parents. We all thought it was great.

I volunteered to make the cards and we had an awesome time.

I got the inspiration for these cards from the SCS gallery. More than inspiration I closely reproduced. The second one is almost an exact CASE except for a couple changes. What can I say I have little imagination *sigh*

The frist one is for one of the sweet ladies that came to chat with us at my moms group and talk to us about devotionals and how to get kiddos excited about learning more from the Bible.

The second one is for my french teacher. Today is our last lesson and she has been a fantastic teacher!

Not about collecting

Once in a while I try to remind myself that my stamps are not the kind you collect...LOL
They are actually to be used and to make pretty stuff. Well in my case make OK stuff.
I usually don't like making New Year resolutions if I make any I make resolutions that will be easy to keep. This year I made the resolution of sending/giving b-day cards to my friends, even if I send them late.
So far its been ok. I have been late 99.9 % of the time but I'm doing it. Here are some of them:

I am going to submit 3 cards. There are nowhere as good as the other cards I have seen people submited but I TRIED! ;)

The third card has an acetate base. But in the scan it came black :( The problem is that I can find the camera to take a better pic of them.

They look better IRL, I promise. Both the palm tree and the humming bird have criystal effects on them to make them pop.

Bald now its a fashion statement. Some of my favorite baldies are Yule Brenner, Teddy Savalas and Andre Agassi.

This post is not about them though. Its about the many cancer patients around the world that become bald while staying BEAUTIFUL.

Yep incredible but true. One of my cousins had a baby girl over a month ago and I a SLACKER have not yet send her a card or the little present I have for her :shock:

I just got my nesties!!

Woohoo I am so excited to get them........ can you tell! LOL

I have been wanting some nesties for a while but I couldn't spend that kind of money in something I will not be using daily. But the "need" was more powerful than me and I gave in.
I must clarify that I gave in just because they were FREE (well sort of). Let me tell you how:

I fill surveys online and I get paid for it!! Yes I get paid for voicing my opinion about everyday household items, clening products, etc. Its soooooo easy and the best thing is I didn't have to invest 1 cent.

I saved all the money (gift cards and such) that I got filling the surveys and then spend it on my nesties!!

My hobby ( more like and addiction LOL) stamping is not cheap as you might know. And this extra "money" is given me the freedom to get a few extra goodies without affecting my budget.
You can get all sorts of stuff. Stuff for home, christmas presents, music, books, etc. My gift cards were for Amazon.com so I had a looooot of freedom to choose.

We are planning in going to the apple orchard this weekend and have some fun. I hope it doesn't rain or its too cold.

Toot toot!! that is exactly what happened last night and lots of times.

Well to those of you with your mind in the gutter NOPE it had nothing to do with THAT toot toot (BCBW) bwhahahaha
It had to do with ......gas. Yep you read it right GAS.

My hubby and my kiddos were goofing around last night and pretending to "wrestle". Hubby will "wrestle" with then and at the end of the "round" he will pick one of the kids and flip them upside down.

That soon back fired and boy do I mean that literally. When hubby picked our oldest son D. He had D's tush close to his face and there it came. D let out a chain of toots. Bwhahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
What it is funnier still is that after that episode, many more came. Hubby gave up cuz he couldn't stop laughing.

At the end of the "game" D stood in the middle of the room and prodly and sweetly said: "Gosh after that my tummy sure feels smaller" LOL and for now his nickname is Rip-ley ;)

Somethings are true on TV

When I was a child I used to believe most of the stuff I watched on tv. Superpowers, immortality and such.

As I grew up and discover that those things were so not true I stop believing in pretty much evrything I saw on tv and thought....."it's just a movie", "they want me to believe that so I buy it"
Last week I discovered that one thing is true very very true of the things you watch on tv. Have you ever seen people sitting with huge bowl of ice cream? or in some cases the whole half gallon or pint containers to feel better?
I bet you have at least once if not more. Maybe some of you perform such act once in a while.
I am person who doesn't like chocolate and unlike most of my friends I didn't have a refuge (chocolate) to go to when I was anxious, sad, PMSing or just for fun :(

Well....... behold! I discovered the wonders of ice cream and its curative powers.

In the beginning........

Today marks the beginning of a NEW ERA........ LOL

Well not quite it is just the first day of my days as a blogger.
I am not very good at writing and as you might have noticed already my grammar and english are not exactly top notch.
My first language is Spanish and I have been speaking (so to say) english just for the last 9 years. So please forgive the mountain of mistakes posted in here.

I am a NUT..... yep kind of crazy in a good way. My friends and family can confirm that. LOL

I will be posting new projects I will hopefully will be making more often and of course plenty of rambling about life and other things!
